We are looking forward to our Fall sessions of classes.

Essentials to a better birth offer a comprehensive look at the birthing journey. Classes provide women and partners with the opportunity to learn about and to discuss aspects of pregnancy, birthing and parenting. Classes help build your confidence in your body’s ability to give birth.  You can discuss your fears about labor and birth with the instructor and other couples with the same concerns.  Your partner will learn about childbirth and how to support you on the big day. Your instructor will discuss pain relief options, including massage, relaxation, breathing techniques, and medications.

Topics include: ·         The Stages of Labour ·         Behaviour and Emotions in Labour ·         Breath Awareness ·         Comfort Measures for Labour ·         Medical Interventions ·         Informed Consent ·         Breastfeeding ·         Your body after birth    The dates are:             Saturday September 29th & Sunday September 30th 9:00 am – 1:00 pm     Classes take place at Essential Physiotherapy 97 Brant Ave.

The cost is $150. A $40 deposit is required to hold your spot with the remainder due the first day of classes. You must attend all classes.

Cost is per couple.
