MAYNIA!

May 2018 Edition

The month of May brings with it a bunch of stuff to celebrate. Blue skies and sunshine have been a long time coming. Ditto with the warmth that it brings. Flowers are popping up on what seems to be a daily basis. Riding without cold weather gear just feels so darned good. Being able to ride on a daily basis, rather than seldom, lifts everyone’s spirits. The month also brings the Mother’s Day celebration

Our repair department is now in full swing. No rest for our mechanics these days. Need an adjustment or repair? No worries. In most cases we’ll have your bike back to you in a flash.... usually three business days.

May also brings with it our ROADSIDE MAINTENANCE CLASS! Learn the basics such as flat tire repair, brake adjustment, gear adjustment and chain replacement. This night will take place at the end of the month, May 29, from 6:30 to about 8:30. It’s limited to the first 12 people to sign up. The cost is a $10 bill, which will be donated to the Brantford Rotary Bike Skills Park maintenance fund.

The annual Paris To Ancaster race is yet again in the history books. Next up is shredding the dirt park. The park is currently being raked and “tuned”. Hopefully Mother Nature will play fair and the park will dry out really well. Hot, dry summer anyone?

Bike Of The Month. Here’s a bike that mom will love to take out riding the local rail trail with the family, do coffee runs with friends or zip around running errands. This is the new Specialized Alibi fitness bike. The tires have no air in them and can never go flat. Glass is not a problem while riding this bike! It has a more comfortable upright riding position and a softer saddle with a shock absorbing suspension post. The Alibi also does away with front gears, making gear shifting quick and easy.
