Who doesn’t love these days of spring? Warm temperatures, not too hot yet. The sights and smells of trees and flowers bursting into bloom everywhere. Plans of high mileage years coming into play. 1,000 kilometers a month, anyone?

Let’s see. The pace has definitely picked up here at the shop. The mechanics have their work cut out for them, busy with many spring tuneups and new bike setups. No matter, we’re always on target for a three business day turnaround, so keep on bringing those bikes in. Tuneups start at just $39.95, and assessments are free.



What else? We have select Cannondale bicycles on a spring special. People like Cannondales. People like saving money. The way sales are going, it’s a certainty that people like saving money on Cannondales.


The annual Paris To Ancaster bike race is now in the history books. Congratulations to the winner, as well as everybody else who got up on that cold, rainy morning and rode the event. That took tons of spirit.

We see plenty of mirrors of various design. Finding a decent mirror that works with a drop bar is particularly difficult. Here’s a simple “why didn’t anyone else think of it before” idea that works. This is the Italian made “Italian Road Bike Mirror”. The difference with this one is that it slips over the end of the naked bar, and then the handlebar tape holds it in place. No clamps, no screws to work loose or vibrate out of adjustment. It has a very sleek profile when installed and doesn’t protrude from the bar as much as other mirrors do.
