Call for Applications!

Introducing the Brantford Business Crawl, Brantford’s newest Shop Local adventure! We are so excited to start spreading the word about what we hope will become an annual event. The Brantford Business Crawl, was built with a vision of encouraging consumers in Brantford-Brant to shop local and discover the unique locally-owned shopping venues our community has to offer! We invite you to participate in this celebration of our local, independent businesses. We are now accepting applications from businesses interested in being featured during the event. 

The Brantford Business Crawl is a passport style event where consumers will be asked to visit each of the 10 stops (local businesses) on the passport over a 10-14 day period (this October), in order to qualify for a chance to win the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize will be a $1,000 Shop Local shopping spree, consisting of 10 x $100 gift cards, one from each of the featured businesses.

Our call for business submissions has just begun and we would be thrilled to have you apply to be a part of this exciting event. We are searching for 10 businesses to be featured on our event passport. Selected businesses will require storefront operations with regular hours that are well suited for foot traffic (must be open on Saturdays).

The event will be promoted primarily through social media campaigns and Intrigue Media screens across the city. Those businesses chosen will be featured on the 2,000 printed passports, the event website, Facebook event page and all other marketing materials associated with the event.

The investment: $200 in gift cards to your business: one $100 gift card to be added to the Grand Prize pot and two $50 gift cards to be given away through social media leading up to and during the event (mid to late October 2016). We will ask that selected businesses administer at least one of the $50 giveaways from their own social pages.

The deadline for these applications is midnight on Thursday, September 8, 2016. Our selection committee will notify the 10 chosen businesses by September 10. If selected, we will require a high resolution logo file for your business by September 12. We so appreciate your interest in the Brantford Business Crawl. Although we can only choose 10 businesses to feature, we are hoping there will be lots of opportunity to promote additional businesses throughout the campaign and in the years to come.
