October 2018 Edition
Wow! Look where we are. It’s so hard to believe that we’ve reached the last quarter of the calendar year. The hot, humid summer that we’ve experienced will be but a distant memory as we soon contend with drifts of snow. Not to worry. We were riding snow-free well into November last year. Just a few things to mention this month.
Did you lose your favourite pair of cycling glasses this summer? Are yours looking scratched and worse for wear? Here’s something you might be interested in. We’re putting all of our in-stock eye wear on sale for 20% off of the regular retail price. Choose from Tifosi, Serfas and Lazer.
We’re stocked up with indoor trainers. We have everything from a simple magnetic exercise trainer all the way up to easy to set up smart trainers. A painless way to get yourself going on programs such as Zwift. Don’t forget to pick up a front wheel block. We sell the Zwift cards too.
Someone once said that there isn’t bad cycling weather, just bad clothing. We’re expecting the temperatures to begin dipping lower and lower as the weeks go by. You’ll find that we’ve now put out our cool weather clothing. Choose from gloves, beanies, headbands, balaclavas, and helmet covers. Jackets, arm warmers and long sleeved micro fleeced jerseys. Micro fleeced tights, knee warmers, thermal socks and shoe covers. All designed to effectively ward off the coming chill. Don’t leave it too late. This stuff flies off the shelves.
Lastly, a good set of lights is a must have, whether commuting, bombing the woods at night, or rolling the dice and squeezing in a late training ride on the road. We are now stocked up on everything from affordable commuter lights to high lumen head and tail lights for both day and night use. The majority of what we sell are USB rechargeable.
This month’s bike is the Specialized Crux Sport E5. This ‘crosser features SRAM’s Apex 11 components. A hassle-free single chain ring up front coupled to eleven gears out back. SRAM hydraulic brakes, Specialized Axis wheels and the newly redesigned Specialized Tracer ‘cross tires round out the package. Grey is the new black.
